Mats Palmberg

Mats Palmberg joined Saab India in April 2022. He took over the position of Chairman &
Managing Director of Saab India Technologies Pvt. Ltd. from May 1, 2022.
Prior to this, he was Vice President- Industrial Partnerships in Saab Aeronautics, heading the Gripen
program for India. Since he was responsible to lead the possibility of a Gripen Make In India
business in this position, he has been actively involved with Indian defence Industry.
Mats has been working with Saab since 1984. In his previous role, he was Vice President, Head
of Marketing & Future Products where he worked with Saab’s commercial and defence products
in the aeronautics domain. He has hands on experience of marketing, business development,
program management and strategy. He has been extensively involved in Saab establishment as a
Tier-1partner to Airbus and Boeing
