General information

Please read this privacy notice carefully if you are registering as a member to the Sweden-India Business Council ek. för., which is the data controller for the processing of personal data (“SIBC”, “us” “we” or our”; PO Box 27, 131 06 Nacka, Sweden, company registration number 769609-9295).

What personal data we collect about you

We need to process the following personal data when you register as a member:

  1. Company name (including address, zip code, city and main phone number);
  2. contact details (first- and last name, e-mail address); and
  3. other voluntary personal information you choose to provide;

We also collect the following non-personal data from you:

  1.  information about the business (year of establishment, number of employees, yearly turnover, international establishments);
  2.  annual service fee for subscription; and
  3. other voluntary non-personal information you choose to provide.

The personal data is needed to process member requests, register new members and administer existing memberships. The legal basis for the processing of the personal data is that it is necessary to enter into a contract with us so that you can become a member. You will not be able to become a member of the SIBC unless you provide us with the requested data.

Sharing your personal data

The only personal data that could be shared with SIBC’s partners are email addresses, which are on the website, Gold or Platinum level only.

Data retention

Your personal data will be processed until further noticed or otherwise unsubscribed to, unless there is a legal obligation for us to keep the personal data for longer.

Your rights

You have the right to request details about the information we collect about you and to request us to correct inaccuracies in that information, to object to the processing of the personal data or request the restriction of processing, to request access to, the erasure of your information or to request for data portability of your personal data. Under the laws of some jurisdictions, we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access and/or erasure is not otherwise required by local law.
